More Amazing Stuff to Praise God About! Part 2
We have a new church using our system. After two months they have had 10 baptisms and 4 more coming. We were able to witness a 72-year man being baptized the day we were there. After the baptism he told us that “I feel different now. I am so light all over.” I told him it is because he now has the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord. Our baptisms started with an old iron tub, advanced to an animal trough, and now to an actual baptistery.
Free Baptist Seminary and Church
On Saturday I had the privilege to train the faculty and students of the Free Baptist Seminary in Havana and to train their church in our system on Sunday. There were at least 5 different denominations represented and it was amazing that they all were excited about getting back to the Bible and doing things the Bible way. Eight different churches in different denominations signed up to be trained the next time I return. They want to hear and implement the Global system. I have learned that in most places outside the U.S. the churches and people are more open to the Bible and less to denominational doctrine, especially when they have less contact with denominational influence. Praise God for using me and Global Church Growth in the Restoration Revolution in Cuba
Meeting with 75 Preachers
On my last weekend, in Cuba, I shared the Global Disciple Making System to 75 preachers from different denominations. Some are already working with us in the System, but the rest are interested in being trained. Hundreds of churches in 12 denominations are now in the system or want to be in the future.
Yesterday September 3rd I got an email from Jose, my eastern director, that he discovered on his trip to the east last week that there are now 225 newly baptized disciples in the past 3 months. I cannot wait to get back. Praise God.
Prayer Calendar for the Rest of the Year
Cuba Problem
The success of our church growth and evangelism is due to the free evangelistic material we provide. I have been waiting for 5.000 copies to be printed so that we can continue to grow the churches and save more souls in Cuba. The problem is that the printers we have been working with are restricted by not being able to get paper.
India Trip
The plan for this year was to make my first trip to India. The trip had to be postponed because no one came forward to accompany me on the trip. I still need to go so if anyone still has an interest please contact me at mikerhouseholder@gmail.com.
Missionary Convention (ICOM) workshop in November
I will again have a workshop and a booth at the Missionary Convention in Cincinnati. OH. Our booth number will be 980, 982
Current Needs for Travel and electronic gadgets
The work in Cuba as well as in our other fields need usable iPad, Kindle Fires, or other tablets. I know there are some of you out there that have some of these lying around collecting dust because you now have upgraded to newer versions. Contact us about donating good working models. The preachers and directors could use them to train and follow up with the churches we are working with.
Haiti, Myanmar and Brazil
All three of these works are waiting on the material being translated. Please pray that the translators will get their work done so we can continue the ministry in these countries.
Tribute to James Sterling
To a dear old friend and supporter of me and my ministry. Jim was like a father to me in my first ministry in Highland, Indiana 40 years ago this month. Since then he has been a faithful friend to me and a faithful servant of Jesus. It is not goodbye, but rather see you again someday in Heaven my friend.
