Our Mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by fostering and advancing ethnic, foreign and national ministries and their leadership with readily available training, training materials and support; thus enabling and equipping these ministries to, in turn, make disciples and to foster and advance others in making disciples of Jesus Christ.
This is the heart of what we do. Christ’s last commission is a compelling command for everyone who follows Jesus as Lord. Global Church Growth Discipling Ministries exists to help in fulfilling this desire of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
To accomplish our goal we must be about evangelizing the world and helping them become and stay obedient disciples. Just saying a prayer and even being baptized is not genuine if there is no life-long commitment to following Jesus.
To do this, we believe at GCG that both the leadership and individuals in the church must be dedicated to this task of making disciples.
Our ministry hopes to accomplish this in a number of way:
On Site Seminars:
Since 2000, Dr. has held training seminars here in a number of churches here in the states and internationally.
On site training and techniques of evangelism, discipleship and leadership in their own setting has proven to be very effective in helping these congregations begin their disciple making ministries.
By going on site to the church or mission field, I’ve been able to see exactly what theyneed and tailor a program to meet their needs.
We here at GCG are committed to helping the new church establish their biblical foundations by on site training, planting team and minister mentoring and providing material and methods to make it happen.
Helping new churches get started with the right biblical foundation is so very important. How true and sturdy your foundation is will determine how strong and vibrant the church will be in the future.
I’ve been so excited about the new church plants that we’ve been working and I’m looking forward in the future to partnering with new church planting organizations as well.
A new venture for GCG will be offered the opportunity for young men and couples to be a part of internships in different areas and situations.
We believe it’s so important that new Christian workers get started off on the right foot. This is why, along with our mentoring program, we are now offering internships to help train our future discipleship makers. We lose up to 75% of our first time workers in the first 5 years. And we hope to deter this through our inter program.
At GCG, mentoring is at the center of what we do. We don’t just present a seminar or provide material. We also provide personal mentoring and monitoring for each of those who partner with us.
When you talk about discipleship, you talk about mentoring or apprenticeship. Over the years, I have seen and experienced the need for mentoring and apprenticeship in ministry. We see it most other areas of life so why not in the church? If we want to follow the teachings and methods of the foundations of the New Testament then we will be involved in mentoring at every level of church life.
I wish I would have had someone come alongside me when I first going into the ministry. I also know that many who quit the full time work of the Lord because they could not do it alone. Three strands are better than one. These three must include the Spirit, you and other Christians.
To be mentored is a lifeline, to mentor is to be that lifeline.
GCG is cooperations with a number of ministries and missions around the world and is continually expanding its role and outreach.
GCG began while my wife and I were full time missionaries on the foreign field. And we are still focused on making disciples in as many nations as possible.
The approach is simple. Equip the native leaders to do the work, and then encourage them to carry it on.
Here are some of the places where we are working globally:
- Myanmar (Burma)
- Dominican Republic
Thank you for taking a moment to learn about Global Church Growth Discipling Ministries. As you see there is a great big world and huge opportunity to be involved on many different levels.
At this time we have a number of needs from short term workers to full time missionaries. We are also looking for those who are interested in planting new churches and growing established churches. And of course, we need the funds to fulfill this ministry.
