GLOBAL CHURCH GROWTH DISCIPLING MINISTRIES 30TH YEAR
God continues to work in Cuba. April 4th to the 25th trip.
This is my 11th year and 20th trip to Cuba and I am so excited for what God is doing once again. From the beginning He has used the system he gave me to grow churches. I want to make it clear everything that I have done and taught has been by the inspiration of God and His Spirit. I give all credit to God. That being said, statistics do not lie.
Every church that has implemented the Church Growth system does grow. In Havana a year ago I met with 16 preachers about the system. 9 of them are working with me and the other 7 chose not to. After meeting with the 9 on this trip all have grown with new baptisms and new ones being planned. God be glorified. The 7 that chose not to implement the Church Growth System have no growth at all in the same time span.
On this trip no one from the US went with me, but I did have my main national director Pablo travel with me across the country. As we traveled, we did it the Cuban way. That is crowded covered trucks, among rented cars and carts. We met with growing existing churches working in the system, and some new churches that will be starting the system.
First Global Bible institute class in the east of Cuba.
Thanks to longtime friend George Carilette and his partnership with me and Global Church Growth, the Church Growth Bible institute has started in the east of Cuba. I held the first class with almost a hundred students.
Growth in the Orient (East) Cuba!
vGod has opened the doors for me to work in several denominational churches. When they go through the training, they tell me afterwards that the training is not an American model, nor denominational based, but fully Biblical. That is a great thing to hear and praise the Lord about. One such denomination has really caught on to the system and is growing rapidly in the system. Cuba is divided up into 14 provinces. In this denomination they have leaders that supervise their churches. At this point the leaders of two of the provinces have decided to fully adopt the Church Growth System as their means of church growth and form of operation. WOW! What an opportunity. And the chance of this going country wide is possible because of the success already being realized. The first province has 68 churches and 15 new church plants. All will be going through the system.
What a way to end a trip!!! 19 baptisms
Everything must come to an end, then this is the way to go out. The preachers told me this is the result of going through my book, “The Most Valuable Treasure.” Thousands of books have been distributed worldwide without me making a cent. But I get my pay each time a person goes through the book and gets baptized.
The last church I met with has had 14 new converts since I was there in November. Over 100% increase. Praise God the same story can be told across the nation.
Exodus
It is always a great thing to find men and women who capture the vision God has given me. I have had some great leaders arise and begin to take on responsibility. In the last few months and even on this trip I have learned of many of the quality preachers/pastors I’ve worked with are leaving the country for the US. There is frustration when I hear this, especially after training and growing the churches. But I can’t blame them. The conditions here are getting deplorable all the time. And especially for the youth and people with young families, they see no future for their families. Families are being split up all the time hoping that at least one of the family can make it to the US.
Each time I return basic provisions are hard to find and when they do the cost is high. I was told today that families are limited to one bottle of cooking oil per family, and only 5 eggs a month per person, and I can go on, but I won’t. Keep everyone in your prayers.
Uganda and Kenya in June NO moss under my feet. After a month home I and George will head back to Uganda for an exciting return trip. As I have reported in January the churches in Uganda that implemented the system all had tremendous growth. Only one did not reach above 100%, but I rejoice they had a whopping 80 baptisms in the 6 months after I trained them. I am also excited to open new work in Kenya. I received a request to go to Kenya and train 60 leaders from 25 churches that want to learn how to become a restoration church. It is only a 3-hour drive from our base in Uganda. Praise the Lord for the open door.
Philippines in September is the plan! BUT is it God’s timing and plan? I have been invited to come and train 200 preachers in the Global Disciple making system. BUT AGAIN, I need help in making the trip. It will cost 4,500 to make the trip.
Myanmar Thanks to Smoky Mountain Christian Church I was able to print my evangelistic book the “The Most Valuable Treasure” in Burmese. And I have already done some training through Zoom. BUT I need another 4,000 to print the leader’s guide and second book in the series, “The 10 steps to Spiritual Growth”. My plan is to return to Myanmar on the same trip to the Philippines in October.
